Using the movie "Up" as a teachable moment

If you're a parent like me (super busy juggling work, household, sports, homework, etc) then you don't often think about ways to make 'teachable moments' happen with your kids. I'm thankful for fellow blogger and children's pastor Sam Luce from Utica, NY who wrote a post about Pixar's new movie Up. (see the full post here)

If (and when, becuase you know school's almost out and we have to have something else to do besides go to the pool) you go see the movie, ask some of these questions and make your own 'teachable moment' with your child!

1. What is a true friend?

2. What is most important in life?
3. Why do we need to keep our promises?
4. What does the bible say about keeping promises?
5. What is your idea of adventure?
6. If you could do one thing in life no matter how crazy or wild it sounds what would it be?
7. Which character was most loyal and why?
8. What was your favorite part, and why?
9. What does it mean to assist the elderly?
10. What is one way we as a family can assist an elderly person?
