Where's the manual? Everything else comes with an instruction book. Yes we are supposed to look to the Bible, but I have yet to find the chapter that tells me what to do when my child has a tantrum in the grocery store because I would not buy him his favorite candy bar! Reminding him to 'honor his mother' just didn't seem to work. Often on this parenting journey, we have to learn as we go. And what's worse...what works for one child does not necessarily work for another! We're a few weeks into school now and, for the most part, we've figured out the homework routine. But we're still way behind on getting everyone to pick up after themselves. Toys, cups, shoes, towels...you name it, they've left it all over the house. I even put a sign on the family room door. Didn't work. Yelling "I am not your maid" has not seemed to help either. It does makes me feel better though...for about 2 seconds.
How about you? What is your biggest parenting challenge? What are you struggling with?
homework? attitudes? bed time? sibling rivalry?
What is making you pull your hair out???
